Special Voter Enrolment drive to begin on July 1

KISHTWAR, JULY 19:  A one month Special enrolment drive shall start in Kishtwar from July 1st to enroll the left out voters.

Speaking in a meeting held here today in this regard, District Development Commissioner, who is also District Election Officer, GN Balwan, conveyed that as per the direction of Election Commission of India, a special drive to enrol left out electors with focus on first time voters in the age group of 18-21 years shall start from July 1 to July 31, 2017.

District Election Officer urged upon all the political parties for appointment of Booth Level Agents (BLA s) for all polling stations to assist the Booth Level Officers (BLOs) during special drive. He further discussed the aims and objectives of special drive with political parties.

ADC Kishori Lal Sharma, ACR besides representatives of all political parties attended the meeting.
