SRINAGAR, JULY 7: A 3-day training programme on
capacity building concluded here today in which more than
50 officers and officials of State Election Department including Deputy
District Election officers and Election Naib-Tehsildars across the State
participated.
The
training programme on the theme “Leadership & Motivation” was organized by the Election
Commission of India (ECI) in collaboration with State Election Department to
enhance the leadership and motivational capability of the officers and
officials of election department towards electoral process.
Highlighting the importance for organizing training programme, Deputy
Chief Electoral Officer, Mr. Krishan Lal said that the training imparted during
the programme will enable the officers and officials in handling the situation and
accomplishing the work in better way at their respective work places. He urged upon the participants to adopt and implement the guidelines
learned in the programme and hoped that it would be proved
beneficial in their real life also.
Responding to some issues highlighted by the participants with regard to
organizing such more programmes of long duration, the Deputy Chief Electoral
Officer said that ECI has already devised different kinds of programmes to
enhance the capabilities of employees of Election Department so that they could
motivate the eligible unregistered electors to register themselves as electors
and massively take part in electoral process for the development of the
country.
Deputy
Chief Electoral Officer also appreciated the efforts put in by the resources
persons Dr. Toshendra Dwivedi and Mr. Ashwani Mohan for imparting training with
dedication.
Later, the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer gave-away certificates of
appreciation and certificates of participation among the resource persons and
participants respectively.
