JAMMU, JULY 15: Additional District
Development Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta today chaired a meeting to discuss
the arrangements for Independence Day celebrations 2017, here today at an
officers meeting.
Additional Deputy Commissioners, Rifat Kohli, Arun Manhas, Joint Director
Information, Manisha Sarin, SSP Traffic, Nisha Nathyal and other officers of
concerned departments were present in the meeting.
Threadbare discussion was held on
various issues with regard to seating arrangements, barricading, invitation of
guests, transport, electricity, drinking water, security, march past,
medicare facilities, face-lifting, cultural items and alike.
The Municipal authorities were
asked to ensure cleanliness at the venue, besides illumination of roads, as
well as government buildings while traffic authorities were asked to take
effective measures for smooth plying of traffic and making special parking arrangements
for VVIP vehicles.
ADDC also instructed the health
authorities for making available ambulance and other medical facilities at the
venue. She stressed on better coordination among the concerned departments to
ensure requisite arrangements are made in time for the national event.
