SHOPIAN, JULY 14: District Development Commissioner Shopian, today convened a meeting with
officers of Revenue and other concerned departments to review the progress of
Aadhaar enrolment in the district.
The meeting was also attended by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Chief
Planning Officer, Tehsildars and other concerned officers and officials of the
district.
The meeting was informed that out of total population the percentage
wise Aadhaar enrolment was 0.75%,(0-5 Years), 24.53%
(5-18 Years) 74.72% (above 18 Years) were enrolled under Aadhaar and
216317 of Aadhar cards have been generated upto June 2017 in the district.
On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned to expedite process in
all tehsils of the district. He also impressed upon them to ensure timely delivery
of Aadhaar Cards to the citizens.
Later, the DDC also meet with Fruit Growers Association Of Shopian. President
Fruit Growers Association Mr. Mohammad Amin Peer apprised the chair about
various issues and bottlenecks pertaining to them in the district.
DDC listened to their grievances patiently and assured the redressal of
the same on priority basis.
