JAMMU, JULY 14 – Divisional Commissioner, Dr. Mandeep Kumar Bhandari, today reviewed the
issues pertaining to the expansion of Jammu Airport including construction of
alternate road connecting Nikki Tawi, shifting of 132 KV double circuit canal,
shifting of Tawi feeder channel D-9A of escape channel, shifting of 11 KV
electric lines and shifting of sewerage lines.
The meeting also discussed demarcation of land at Nagrota for making
Administrative Block of Animal husbandry Department for poultry farm and other
concerning issues.
DIG, Ashkoor Wani, Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Rajeev Ranjan, Chief
Engineer, M&RE Ashwani Kumar Gupta, SSP, Jammu Sunil Gupta, SSP (Traffic),
Jammu Nisha Nathyal, Director, Airports Authority of India D K Goutam,
Director, ERA Ravinder Kumar Gupta, besides officers from Army, Air Force, PWD
(R&B), Forest Department, PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control Department,
Animal Husbandry, Power Development Department and Urban Environmental
Engineering Department were present in the meeting.
The Divisional Commissioner asked the PDD officers to complete the
shifting of 11 KV electric lines by first week of September.
It was informed in the meeting that the works for shifting of sewerage
lines would be completed by first week of November.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the officers to work with
coordination and synergy to complete the works within stipulated time frame.
