National Lok Adalat held in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 08: District Legal Services Authority organized National Lok Adalat today at District Court Complex Sannat Ghar Bemina under the Chairmanship of District & Sessions Judge Rashid Ali Dar.

Seven benches were constituted in which 1018 cases were taken up and 484 cases were decided on spot through amicable settlement. An amount of Rs 1, 10,83000 were settled in consumer claims and amount of Rs 20,00,000 was awarded as compensation in 05 Motor Accidental Claims and an amount off, Rs 66000 realized as fine in various challans.
