National lok adalat held at Ramban

RAMBAN JULY 08:  A National Lok Adalat was held at District court complex Ramban, in which MACT and Pre Litigation cases were taken up for disposal.

In the Lok Adalat, a bench was constituted which was headed by Chairman District Legal Services Authority (Principle District & Session Judge), Mrs. Kalpana Revo, along with CJM, Mr.Yahaya Firdaus, Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, Ajay Sharma and Tehsildar Ramban, Parmod Kumar.

          The Lok Adalat was attended by the advocates of the district. Similar Lok Adalats were held in the court of special Mobile Magistrate (Electricity), Magistrate Batiye, Munsif courts at Gool, Banihal and Ukhral also.

142 cases were taken up out of which 61 cases were settled. Similarly 324 number of pre litigation cases were taken up of which 289 were settled.

          A total number of 350 cases were disposed off and an amount of Rs. 41, 05,000 was awarded as compensation in MACT cases.
