Awareness programme on SVEEP held at Doda

DODA, JULY 17: On the directions of Election Commissioner of India, a voter awareness programme was organized today by District Election Officer Doda at Community Hall Doda under SVEEP.

 The event formed the part of the special drive to update electoral rolls and enroll left out voters.

      PO ICDS Doda Surat Singh, AD employment (Nodal officer SVEEP) Muneeb Umar, Naib Election, DC office Doda, Incharge CMO Doda besides Anganwadi workers and helpers participated  in the awareness campaign.

       During the programme participants were informed about the special drive started by ECI w.e.f July 1 to July 31, 2017to enroll the left out electors with special focus on first time electors and young citizens  in the age group of 18-21 w.r.t 01-01-2017 as qualifying date.

Anganwari workers were asked to inform the general public in their respective areas about the process so that they can get themselves registered with concerned BLOs in time.

        Nodal officer SVEEP informed about the special camp which would be held on 22^nd July. On the day, the BLOs shall be stationed at their respective polling stations for the purification of electoral rolls.
