SRINAGAR, JUNE 05: Chairperson Jammu and Kashmir State Social
Welfare Board (JKSSWB), Dr. (Prof.) Nirmal Gupta, today convened a meeting with
the representatives of different NGOs affiliated with the Board.
The Chairperson asked the representatives to play their role in
implementing various schemes sponsored by JKSSWB for the needy and weaker
sections of the society. She said that all the records of schemes and their
beneficiaries need to be computerized. She said the records
need to be checked regularly and updated accordingly.
Ms Gupta directed the NGO representatives to evolve innovative methods
to make their Organization work more effective for the welfare of people. She
asked them to work with added dedication and zeal so that the benefits of
various schemes reach to the deserving and downtrodden ones.
The representatives of different NGOs, while interacting with the
Chairperson informed her about various issues and concerns being faced by them
in running various schemes in the Valley. The Chairperson listened to them
patiently and assured them of all possible support in this regard.
Senior officials of the State Social Welfare Board and other concerned
attended the meeting.
