BANDIPORA, JULY 29: The
Department of Education in collaboration with ALIMCO Kanpur organized One Day
Distribution Fitment Camp under SSA/RMSA for children with special needs (CWSN)
here today. The camp was chaired by District Development Commissioner and was
attended by Deputy CEO Bandipora, principals and head masters of various
schools, parents and students.
During the camp, 251 appliances
including tricycles, wheelchairs, MSIED Kits, hearing aids, Smart Cane, C P
chairs, Crutch Axilla, walking sticks etc worth Rs 8 lakh were distributed
among the beneficiaries under SSA, while as 07 appliances worth R. 14800
distributed under RMSA .
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC asked the parents of such children to
approach his office or Social Welfare and Education department to register such
types of children and avail benefits from various welfare schemes launched by
the Government. He said that a series of programs are underway to benefit
widows, physically challenged persons, destitute, orphans, chronic patients and
weaker sections of the society.
