DIC organizes awareness program on traffic rules

POONCH JULY 29: District Information Center, in collaboration of with Motor Vehicles Department, today organized an awareness program on the topic “To obey traffic rules”at Hari Memorial Modern Public School.

Assistant Regional Transport Officer was the chief guest on the occasion.

The program was attended by District Information Officer, school children, teaching faculty besides local residents.

The main objective behind organizing this program was  to sensitize the students about traffic rules so that they can disseminate the information among  others.

On the occasion, resource persons delivered informative lectures on traffic rules by showing charts depicting traffic signals, signs boards, arrows and other necessary information to educate the students.

ARTO advised the participants to ensure strict adherence to traffic rules and do not use mobile phone while driving.

During the program, a painting competition on traffic rules was held in which 50 students participated and five paintings were adjudged best and the winners were given cash prizes besides consolation prizes .

Later, a colorful cultural program was organized by Culture Wing of DIC Poonch which enthralled the audience. Students also participated in cultural program.
