RAJOURI, JULY 01: District Magistrate Rajouri, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary on Saturday revised maximum retail prices of essential commodities in a meeting of officers of FCS&CA, Food Safety, Legal Metrology, Animal and Sheep Husbandry and others that he chaired here.
These items include mutton, milk, curd, cheese, khoya etc. The new prices would be applicable in Rajouri with immediate effect.
The price of mutton has been fixed at Rs 300 per kg, cheese at Rs. 240 per kg, buffalo milk at Rs. 50 per ltr, cow milk at Rs. 45 per ltr, curd at Rs. 55 per kg and khoya at Rs 300 per kg
AD FCS&CA has been asked to ensure that the dealers exhibit the price lists conspicuously in their shops. The officers of Food Safety were directed to regularly conduct surprise market checking to ensure quality of essential commodities.
To check adulteration, concerned officers have been instructed to ascertain the quality of milk at different points in the supply chain.
Special teams are being constituted to ensure availability of all items at the fixed prices and to arrest any unethical and anti-consumer practices.
