Drug peddler held, contraband recovered in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jul 21 : Jammu and Kashmir Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband from him in this summer capital. A police spokesperson here today said following specific information, police arrested drug peddler, Zuhaib Hussain Bhat on July 9, 2017 in Srinagar. During checking, police recovered six boxes of drugs from him. He said during the course of investigation, the accused revealed that he had been selling the drug to people especially youth at exorbitant rates. “As high as Rs 500 a strip having MRP of just Rs 42 was sold by the accused,” he said. Subsequently, he said 23 persons, who had been buying drugs from the accused were identified. He said more people are expected to be arrested. UNI
