A drug peddler was arrested with 23 kg poppy straw in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. "During routine checking of vehicles at Railway bridge last evening, we have recovered poppy straw from the possession of a man travelling in a taxi," police here today said.


Jammu, Jul 24 :  A drug peddler was arrested with 23 kg poppy straw in Kathua district of Jammu and Kashmir. "During routine checking of vehicles at Railway bridge last evening, we have recovered poppy straw from the possession of a man travelling in a taxi," police here today said. The drug peddler, identified as Bipin, a resident of Pallan, Budhi Kathua, was arrested, police added. A case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act was registered and further probe is on. UNI
