In a bid to help traders with issues related to the Goods and Services Tax, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today flagged off GST awareness vans in this regard.


New Delhi, Jul 24 :  In a bid to help traders with issues related to the Goods and Services Tax, Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia today flagged off GST awareness vans in this regard. Mr Sisodia, who also holds the Finance portfolio, flagged off six vans here at the Delhi Secretariat this morning, days after he had announced to do so following complaints from small traders that they were facing difficulties with the new tax regime. The mobile vans will tour the city's market including -- inner circle of Connaught Place, Janpath and Chandni Chowk. For each van, an officer has been deployed by the Government, who will take the questions related to GST and help traders. The vans will go from market to market between 1100 to1800 hours.
