Jammu, Jul 17 : A jawan and a five-year-old girl were killed in Pakistan firing along the Line of Control in Rajouri and Poonch districts of Jammu and Kashmir this morning. A woman and a jawan were also injured in the incident. "Pakistani Army initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from 0730 hrs in Bhimber Gali sector of Poonch along the Line of Control," a defence spokesman here said. He said the Indian Army was retaliating strongly and effectively. "In the fire exchange, Naik Muddasar Ahmed of JAK Li was grievously injured when mortar shells landed on his bunker. He was evacuated to the MI room where he succumbed to his injuries," an official said. UNI
