‘3 projects sanctioned by MSME, 2 in pipeline’
JAMMU, JULY 3: The KVIB Jammu is in process of
formulation of 7 more SFURTI Clusters in Jammu Division in addition to five
projects already proposed to Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises
(MSME) Government of India.
As per a spokesperson of the Board, the information was given during a
workshop organized by it here today.
The KVIB had sponsored five Clusters to the MSME, of which three were
approved involving a amount of Rs. 1194.80 Lakh and remaining two are under
process.
It was disclosed that KVIB is in process of formulation of 7 more SFURTI
Clusters in Jammu Division, at Miran Sahib, Samba, Jammu, Udhampur, Kathua,
Ramban and Doda under Beekeeping, cut flowers, Kishtwari Blankets, wooden
furniture, processing of vegetables, environmental friendly carry
bags/readymade garments. The workshop was presided over by the Secretary/CEO,
KVIB and attended by the Dy. CEO, KVIB Jammu Division, CEO, ITCO, Technical
& Implementing Agencies, District Officers of Jammu Division and other
stake holders for the Cluster Development.
Later, a field visit was also conducted to Miran Sahib to discuss the
modalities for furniture clusters proposed for the area under SFURTI programme
with all the concerned stakeholders.
Meanwhile a review meeting of the District Officers of Jammu Division
was also chaired by the Secretary wherein it was disclosed that KVIB has
facilitated establishment of 94 units for unemployed youth of Jammu Division
involving an amount of Rs. 201.061 lakh as Margin money (subsidy).
