District achieves 100 % target of construction of Toilets in schools
RAMBAN, JULY 03: District Development
Commissioner, Ramban Tariq Hussain Ganai today convened a meeting to review the
physical and financial achievements of Education and PWD sectors under District
Capex Budget 2017-18 besides State and Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs).

Andhi, Engineers, ZEOs and other officers attended the meeting.
The
meeting was informed that under SSA work on 436 primary school, 2 Middle school
buildings and 562 Additional class rooms have been completed.
The
district has also achieved 100% target of construction of toilet complexes for
girls and boys in different schools.
In Elementary education out of 7 buildings 4 have been completed and
others are in progress. In Secondary education 4 building have been completed
and 4 others are in progress.
Under RMSA
Rs. 1362.78 lakh has been expended on upgradation and construction of buildings
in 36 high schools against an estimated cost Rs 1953.74 lakh.
Reviewing physical and financial achievements under central and state sponsored schemes, the DDC instructed the executing
agencies to complete all ongoing and newly sanctioned projects in the
prescribed time by gearing up men and machinery.
He
stressed on optimal utilization of the funds for better results. He also
directed XEN PWD to expedite the ongoing construction works under Education sector.
Meanwhile,
the meeting also reviewed the functioning of education institutions and staff
position in different schools. The DDC exhorted upon the officers of education
department to work with zeal and dedication for providing quality education to
the students in their respective institutions.
The DDC directed CEO Ramban to submit a detail report of staff in position
and vacant posts so that issue can be raised with high ups.
