Rajouri administration organizing 4-day Photo Exhibition from July 9

Achievements of past 2 years to be showcased

RAJOURI, JULY 04: To showcase achievements of various departments in the last two years, District Administration Rajouri is organizing a 4-day photo-exhibition from July 9 to 12 at PWD Dak Bungalow Rajouri.

Through photo exhibition, departments will showcase achievements by displaying pre-construction, construction and completion phases of different projects besides indicating physical and financial achievements of the last two years.

Apart from providing public services at doorsteps of people, District Development Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary has favored proactive dissemination of information by showcasing achievements of various departments. He said photo exhibition is a very good medium to understand various development projects undertaken by any department besides being a convenient mode of proactive dissemination of information to the public.

Departments have also been asked to showcase achievements on mega projects, welfare schemes, centrally sponsored schemes, sub-plans, IES, camps etc. Dr. Shahid has repeatedly asked officers of different departments for greater public participation in various initiatives of government through mass outreach programmes and awareness campaigns.

The district administration is also roping in local media persons through media fellowships to work in specific sectors and areas to evaluate outreach of welfare and developmental schemes, identify gaps, shortcoming and bottlenecks and to suggest measures for better public service delivery.

Dr Shahid has appealed to the public to visit the exhibition during the four-day long program so as to have a better understanding and appreciation of developmental initiatives taken up by the Government for the people. There have been a series of centrally sponsored schemes such as PMGSY, PMAY, MGNREGS, PMFBY etc. which have been brought for the welfare of the people.
