SRINAGAR, JULY 5: The State Human Rights Human
Commission (SHRC) recommended compensation of Rs 3 lakh in favour of the kin of
the deceased child, who died after falling into 60 feet trench. The ditch was
dug by the R&B department. The factum of the tragedy was admitted by the
police. He also directed secretary public works to file a compliance report in
the matter.
SHRC also directed Director Health Services Kashmir and Managing
Director JK Medical Supplies Corporation Limited (JKMSCL) to file response in a
case titled, Crisis in Kashmir Hospitals, No essential medicines for children
women.
