25 farmers of Leh on Capacity Building Tour to diff parts of country

Srinagar, Aug 2 : A group of 25 farmers from Leh in Ladakh region left under Capacity Building Tour (CBT), organised by the Army to different northern states, a defence ministry spokesman said here this afternoon. He said Lt General PJS Pannu General Officer Commanding (GOC), Fire and Fury Corps flagged off a delegation of 25 farmers of durbuk block area on a ten-day Capacity Building Tour to Dharamsala under “Operation Sadbhavan” yesterday. The delegation will visit Agricultural University, Palampur, Dharamsala amongst other places of interest in the area. In a grand send off ceremony held at Leh, the GOC expressed his happiness on the tour and said that this tour will further strengthen the strong relationship between the Army and the people of Ladakh. Under the stewardship of Lt Gen Pannu, a large number of programmes have been launched to facilitate and empower the locals of this enchanted land, he said. UNI
