3 shooters held in Mianwali Nagar triple murder case
New Delhi, Aug 1 : The Delhi police today said they have arrested three sharpshooters in connection with the Mianwali Nagar triple murder case in which alleged gangster Monu Dariyapur, his friend and a policeman deputed to guard him were killed. The arrested -- a part of nine-men squad sent to kill the gangster -- were identified as Sonu alias Kejriwal (25), Sumit alias Palotra (22), Sandeep alias Padu (25), all from Rohini. They were arrested on Friday. Police said they have received inputs that the gangsters would come to Rohini in a Honda Amaze car to meet one of their associates. Accordingly, a trap was laid and the car was intercepted. Three sophisticated pistols and 15 live cartridges from recovered them. According to police, the accused have confessed to their involvement in the crime and were also involved in several other cases of murder, attempt to murder and armed robberies registered in Delhi and Haryana. On April 29, Monu along with his two public security officers — ASI Vijay Kumar and constable Kuldeep — and two of his friends Arun Shastri and Yogesh were sitting in a car having snacks, when gangster on bikes fired 35 rounds in crowded market killing Monu, Shastri and Vijay in Mianwali Nagar area.
