Hyderabad, Aug 5 : In wake of severity of drugs issue going on in the state of Telangana, for controlling and eradicating such menace, Railway police have conducted extensive raids in particular railway stations and seized 392 kgs of Ganja, worth Rs 50-55 lakh and arrested 18 people. Among them, cases were registered against 13, a statement from South Central Railway (SCR) said here today. The statement said as per instructions of DGP Railway T Krishna, Special teams have been formed and conducted raids in the railway stations of Vikarabad, Secunderabad, Warangal, Kazipet and Dornakal from July 18 to till date. During the raids police seized the narcotic substance when they were transporting it illegally by trains mostly in Konark Express, LTT and Godavari Express to Mumbai and Visakhapatnam. The apprehended were hailing from Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and New Delhi, the statement said. UNI
