Sukhnandan chairs Petitions Committee meeting

          SRINAGAR, AUGUST 09: A meeting of the Committee on Petitions of Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held here today under the Chairmanship of MLA, Ch. Sukhnandan Kumar.

          Legislators, Javed Mustaffa Mir, Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, R S Pathania, Gulzar Ahmed Wani, Yawar Ahmed Mir, Noor Mohammad Sheikh and Anjum Fazili attended the meeting.

          The Committee discussed the petition given by Ayush Doctors Association Kashmir (ADAK) regarding the personal indulgence into serious scams and malpractices by Dr. Abdul Kabir Dar as present Secretary Technical, Health and Medical Education.

          Threadbare discussions were held in detail and the Committee went through the reply furnished by the Department to the petition.

          The Committee on reviewing the reply further directed the Department to give a detailed reply in respect of non clearance by bio issuance of fake certificate and to the CAG's report regarding unfruitful expenditure incurred on the construction of Ayush hospital.

          Besides, the Committee asked for the Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department and Secretary Law to be present in its next meeting.

          Among others, Principal Secretary, Health and Medical Education Dr Pawan Kotwal, Secretary (Technical) Health and Medical Education, A K Dar, Additional Secretary Health and Medical Education Naseer Ahmed Wani, Additional Secretary Assembly Secretariat besides other officials were present in the meeting.
