ADC Anantnag reviews I-Day arrangements

ANANTNAG AUGUST 08: Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag today chaired a meeting to finalize the arrangements for ensuing Independence Day 2017 celebrations in the district.

It was said that the main function will be held at Government Degree College Boys Anantnag which would start with Shehnai wadhan followed by unfurling of tricolor by the Chief Guest followed by inspection of the march past. The Contingents from various wings of J&K Police, IRP, CRPF, Fire & Emergency, Home guard, NCC, besides students from various educational institutions of the district shall take part in the march past.

The ADC directed CEO MC Anantnag for making proper sanitation measure at the venue. The engineers from R&B, PDD, PHE were directed to make all the necessary arrangements with regard to seating, supply of drinking water, and power supply. The CMO Anantnag was directed to deploy paramedical staff with ambulance at the venue. 

The meeting was attended by various District Officers including Principals of Degree colleges, Higher Secondary Schools of Anantnag, Bandipora, Bijbehara, and Mattan, SE R&B Anantnag, SE Hydraulic, Xen R&B Anantnag, Xen, PDD, PHE, CEO Anantnag, ACR Anantnag , CMO Anantnag, Deputy Director Fire & Emergency Services, ARTO, District Youth Service & Sports officer  besides officers of Police and Security agencies.

It was given out that similar celebratory functions will be held at Sub Divisions of Pahalgam, Dooru, Kokernag, Bijbehara and Tehsil headquarters across the district.
