KUPWARA, AUGUST 08: District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) today organized a
camp at Kupwara to aware the public regarding the welfare schemes of the
Government for the betterment of the educated unemployed youth by creating
Self-Help Groups (SHGs) in the urban areas of the district.
District Development Commissioner Kupwara, who was chief guest, distributed
revolving fund of Rs.10,000 each among the eight SHGs and identity cards among
334 registered street vendors of Kupwara town at the awareness camp.
The DDC impressed upon the participants to avail the benefits of the schemes
launched by the Government. He also stressed on coordinated efforts for
providing better services to the workers.
On the occasion, the Project Officer, DUDA highlighted the progress
achieved under the schemes launched by the Union Government for improving
socio-economic conditions of the educated unemployed youth.
