KUPWARA, AUGUST 05: Additional
Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Handwara today convened a joint meeting of officers
and other security agencies to review the arrangements for Independence Day
celebrations in Handawara.
The meeting was informed that the main function at Tehsil level would be held
at DPL Handwara wherein the ADC will unfurl the National Flag as a chief guest
on the occasion.
It was said several colorful cultural programmes will be presented by
school children as part of the event.
The ADC also reviewed arrangements of seating, transport, refreshment,
power supply and transport facilities on the occasion.
He
directed the municipal committee to ensure maintenance of sanitation measures
in and around the venue.
It was also said that 13th August has been declared as full
dress rehearsal day.
