Puducherry, Aug 16 ; Air service from Puducherry was resumed after a gap of two years with the commencement of the Spicejet flight to Hyderabad. Chief Minister V Narayanasamy and his cabinet colleagues participated in the function and welcomed the passengers, who arrived for travelling in the inaugural flight, by garlanding them. Later, Mr Narayanasamy told newspersons that subsequent to the flight to Hyderabad, flights to Kochi, Bengaluru, and Tirupati would be commenced shortly. The flight operations were resumed so that the inflow of tourists to Puducherry would enhance, he said. The ticket fare from Puducherry to Hyderabad was fixed at Rs.2449. UNI
