
Bhopal, Aug 17 : BJP president Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive in the capital for a three-day visit tonight. Mr Shah would arrive in a regular flight from New Delhi to here. He would return to the national capital on the night of August 20. He would be halting at the state BJP office during the course of his visit. The BJP president is scheduled to address a joint meeting of party office-bearers and lawmakers tomorrow. The meeting would be attended by central office-bearers, state core group members, state officers, state spokespersons, MPs, MLAs, district president, divisional organisation secretaries, morchas’ presidents and other office-bearers. Mr Shah would also meet cabinet ministers and former lawmakers during his stay. Party sources said that Mr Shah would also have lunch at Public Relations Minister Narottam Mishra’s residence tomorrow. Nearly three dozen selected party leaders have been invited for the lunch. Mr Shah is also scheduled to visit Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s residence where he would meet heads of religious and social organisations. During his visit, Mr Shah is also likely to review the results of civic bodies elections that were declared yesterday wherein the BJP came victorious in 25 municipal bodies whereas the Congress managed to win in 15 local bodies and three Independent candidates also came up trumps.
