Agartala, Aug 21 : The maiden meeting of BJP leaderships with the newly inducted six opposition MLAs in BJP held last night at party’s state headquarters in the city to discuss about the role of the legislators inside and outside the assembly, BJP sources said here today. Besides, MLAs their district, sub-division and block level followers and key persons of the team had also attended the meeting where BJP state president Biplab Kumar Deb and state observer Sunil Deodhar briefed them the agenda and policy of functioning of BJP. According to report, addressing the gathering of around 200 newly joined leaders from Trinamool Congress Deodhar stressed on the prime objective of the party in Tripura in wiping away the CPI-M led Left Front government from in ensuing assembly election. Mr Deodhar emphasized on the procedures and techniques of working being the worker of this saffron party for the next five to six months in Tripura with a lone aim of forming the BJP government in the state for the welfare of the state. Leader of the MLAs Sudip Roy Barman urged the district and block level presidents and secretaries not opt for any post while working for saffron party here in Tripura and lone target is to defeat the CPIM party in the election in 2018. The party leaders directed the workers to launch program at local level under the local BJP leadership maintaining regulations of the party but indicated that BJP would not tolerate any deviation and unruly act at any level.
