PULWAMA, AUGUST 29: Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Ghulam
Mohammad Dar, today visited Khanqah-e-Faiz Panah Tral and paid obeisance at the
Ziyarat Sharief, where annual Urs of Hazrat Amir Kabeer Mir Syed Ali Hamdani
(RA), was observed.
Praying for peace and harmony in the region, the Minister said that
these saints taught people basic tenets of Islam. He said that these revered
saints propagated love and brotherhood, and asked people to follow teachings of
the Holy Quran and the Hadith.
The Auqaf management of the shrine admired the District Administration
for making necessary arrangements of proper supply of water and power,
cleanliness and illumination in and around the shrine, besides medical
facilities, adequate transport and parking facility.
The locals also
apprised the DC about their problems regarding roads, electricity, water, and
sanitation.
The DC
assured them that their genuine demands would be addressed in a phased manner.
He asked people to extend complete cooperation in effective implementation of
development works.
DDC also took stock of the ongoing work of macdamization on Tral-
Nawdal road at Chek-Lalgam, and impressed upon the officers to maintain quality
material in the macdamization of the road so that the people of the area would
not face any inconvenience.
ADC Tral, Tehsildar Awantipora, Tehsildar Tral and concerned officers
accompanied the Deputy Commissioner.
