SHOPIAN, AUGUST 28: - To assess the quality of medical services, punctuality and patient
care District Development Commissioner Mr. Mohammad Aijaz paid a surprise visit
to the District Hospital Shopian and inspected various wards of the hospital
and took stock of the medical facilities being provided to the patients. In
order to get first hand feedback he interacted with patients and enquired about
the level of services provided to them.
During surprise inspection an employee of USG Section was found absent
from the Testing Lab. DDC directed Medical Superintendent to withheld the
salary of the said employee.
DDC exhorted upon the superintendent to ensure that roster is strictly
followed and patients should be served with utmost dedication and sincerity.
He stressed on the cleanliness of the wards and corridors besides
maintaining proper sanitation of the hospital. DDC impressed upon the entire
medical staff to provide patient centred care.
