SHOPIAN, AUGUST 05: District Development Commissioner Shopian,
Mohammad Aijaz today convened a meeting to chalk out an effective mechanism for
rehabilitation of displaced shopkeepers whose shops came under alignment for
the widening of Shopian Bijbhera Road at Sanigloo.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Executive
Engineer Local bodies, Technical Officer R&B, Executive Officer
Municipality, Tehsildar Shopian and other concerned.
During the meeting rehabilitation plan for affected shopkeepers of
Shangloo Chowk to Sumo Stand Bonbazar Shopian was worked out. The shopkeepers
who were also present at the meeting agreed to the proposed plan and thanked
the Deputy Commissioner for his intervention.
Executive Engineer, the Local body has been directed to prepare a
drawing design of proposed rehabilitation plan within a week’s time.
The proposed shops will be allotted to the affected shopkeepers on the
production of valid revenue documents through draw of lots.
