RAJOURI, AUGUST 22:
Two days awareness campaign which was organized by the Field Publicity Unit of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting today concluded at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Manjakote.

Additional Director General of Field Publicity Unit, R.P Saroj presided over the function and Tehisldar Manjakot, Mehmood Riyaz was the Chief Guest.

The programme was aimed at spreading awareness among common rural masses about New India Manthan, ‘Share ideas for a new India’. Under this mass outreach programme, people from all age groups willing to engage in intellectually stimulating discussions on realities of 2022 under “NAYE BHARAT KA MANTHAN-SANKALP SE SIDDHI” were provided a platform to interact.

In the programme awareness was generated on various centrally sponsored viz. Fasal Bima Yojana, Swacch Bharat Mission, PardhanMantri Suraksha Bema Yojana, Pardhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti BeemaYojana, Atal Pension Yojana , Mudra Yojana and Start Up India.

On the occasion, Mehmood Riyaz appreciated the efforts of Directorate of Field Publicity in spreading awareness in rural and far-flung , border and media shadow areas. He urged the gathering to further disseminate the information in their respective localities. He added that people cannot avail benefits of various schemes unless they have adequate knowledge about the benefits entailed in these schemes.

R.P. Saroj, Additional Director General Directorate of Field Publicity in his address said that Government of India has launched 72 schemes for the benefit of the public. He said that people should know how to avail the benefit of these schemes. Directorate of Field Publicity through its programmes tried to bring different concerned departments under one umbrella for the convenience of local masses.

Resource persons from various departments gave awareness about various schemes of their Departments. The departments Rural Development, ICDS, Agriculture, Health, JKEDI, , State police, PHE & PDD participated in the programme.

People were given first-hand information through publicity material and pamphlets about the formalities for availing benefits of various schemes.

Ex- Srapanches, Panches, ASHA Workers, ANMs, FMPHWs, Anganwari workers, Supervisors(ICDS), Helpers(ICDS), Students, Teachers, adolescent girls and boys and locals from all walks of life participated in the programme.
