SRINAGAR, AUGUST 31: On the
directions of Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Director
Sheep Husbandry Kashmir, Dr Mohammad Ramzan along with a team of senior
veterinary doctors today visited various areas including Eidgah, Nowshera,
Rawalpora, and Ranawari to inspect veterinary camps established there to check
health of sacrificial animals.
During the visit, the team found that some animals were not in good
health and unfit for sacrifice and directed the concerned to ensure only
quality animals are sold to customers.
While conducting physical inspection of various animals and taking stock
of the medical facilities, the team expressed satisfaction with the
arrangements put in place.
The Director asked the concerned to utilize the services of mobile vans
for checking sacrificial animals in other areas to ensure that proper medical
facility are provided to them. He also asked them to ensure medical facilities
at every camp so that proper treatment is provided to sick and wounded animals.
The Doctors and Senior Officers of Animal and Sheep Husbandry
Departments assured the inspecting team that every possible help in terms of
checkup and treatment of animals would be ensured.
