Man kills wife, later commits suicide

Kochi, Aug 2 : In a shocking incident, a man hacked his wife to death, injured three children and later committed suicide by hanging from ceiling fan at Karuvelippadi, near Toppumpadi in this district today. Police said the deceased were identified as Rafeeq (51), a fish vendor and his wife Nazia (46). The three children--- Jafrin (21), Shefin (18) and Saina (13), were admitted at a private hospital with minor injuries, police said. The man allegedly hacked to death his wife first, and later tried to murder his kids. However, their kids escaped from the murder attempt and ran away with injuries.
