ANANTNAG, AUGUST 31: District Election Officer Anantnag, Mohammad Younis Malik, on
Thursday, chaired a meeting in to review the Special Summary Revision of
Electoral Roll 2017.
The meeting was attended by representatives of various political parties
including PDP, NC, INC, CPIM, and BJP.
Various agenda points including publication of electoral rolls, period
of filing of claims & objections, reading of relevant part/section of photo
electoral rolls in Gram Sabha/local bodies, RWA meetings etc & verification
of names, special campaign dates with booth level agents, disposal of claims
& objections, updating of database, merging of photographs, updating of control
tables, preparation & printing of supplements, final publication of
electoral rolls, appointment of booth level agents by all political parties,
rationalization of polling stations and identification of dead & shifted
voters were discussed threadbare.
