Youth attempts suicide in Kupwara

Srinagar, Aug 19 : A youth attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in Kupwara district, a police spokesman said here this afternoon. He said the youth, yet to be identified, consumed some poisonous substance at his Zachaldara, Handwara house in Kupwara. However, other family members immediately shifted him to hospital where his condition is stated to be critical. It was not immediately clear why he tried to end his life, he said adding police have registered a case and initiated proceedings. UNI
