Altaf Bukhari distributes cash rewards among winners 

SRINAGAR, Sept 20: Minister for Education, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today said Government is keen to develop sports infrastructure to give a fillip to sports activities in the State and provide a platform for budding sportsperson to hone their skills.

          These remarks were made by the Minister at concluding function of 3-day 'Jashan-e-Dal’ sports festival organized by Jammu & Kashmir Police under Civic Action Programme.

          Speaking on the occasion, the Minister urged the youth to participate vigorously in the sports activities. Terming sports an important component in life, the Minister said that it inculcates discipline, self-confidence and team spirit among youth.

          The Minister, who was chief guest on the occasion, said Government headed by the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti is committed to provide every possible facility for upgrading and promoting of sports infrastructure in the State.

Later, he distributed cash awards among the winners of the event.

MLA Karnah Raja Manzoor, DGP Dr. S.P. Vaid, ADGP Armed L Mohanti, and IGP Armed Ahfadul Mujtaba were also present on the occasion.
