Additional SP Katra flagged off “Prabhat Pheri”

KATRA, SEPTEMBER 26: On the 6th day of Navratra festival a colorful Prabhat Pheri was taken out by Navratra Prabhat Pheries Committee, Katra with active support of local people as a part of ongoing Navratra Festival.

Prabhat Pheri began and culminated at Katra Bus Stand after passing through Shiv Mandir, Ban Ganga Road, Shalimar Garden, Chintamani and main bazaar Katra. Enroute devotees and artists were chanting mantras & singing Bhajans of Goddess Katyani.

Earlier Chief Guest Addl. SP Katra, Naresh Singh and Guest of Honour, SDPO flagged off the Prabhat Pheri in presence of Joint Secretary J&K sports council, Shiv Kumar Sharma, President of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association,  Shashi Gupta and Patron of Prabhat Pheries Committee, Ajay Sharma.

         Chief Guest while speaking on the occasion extended greetings to the people and said that cooperation from all sections of the society during festivals is an intergral part of our glorious heritage and plays an important role in strengthening harmony and brotherhood. He also prayed for the well being of people in the country.

      The members of the committee present on the occasion included Ramnik Nawvada, Daleep Padha, Tilak Sanmotra, Kushal Magotra, Amit Bamba, Montu Sharma, Renue Ji Dhar and Vimal Sharma.
