Defamation suit to be filed against LG in Medical Admission issue: CM

Puducherry, Sep 23: Puducherry government is contemplating to file a defamation suit against Lt Governor Kiran Bedi in the Medical Admission issue. Talking to newspersons here today, Mr Narayansamy said that legal experts are being consulted in this regard. He said that as far as the administration is concerned right from IAS officer Narendra Kumar to the centac officials no one had violated the orders of the Union government,which will be proven in the investigation by the CBI. One Mr Menon had filed a benami case on the issue and it was in the supreme court,he said and added that all details on behalf of the government was submitted in the Apex Court. He said while the CBI investigation is on, the Lt.Governor had threatened officials and questioned who instigated them and what to be told to the CBI,which is a criminal offence.The Lt.Governor is instigating officials to put the blame on the Chief Minister , Ministers and Chief Secretary, he charged. The Lt.Governor has exceeded the limits and functioning as a police official rather than a Lt.Governor and wondered who gave powers to her to threaten officials. He alleged that Ms Bedi is functioning as an agent of the BJP. The Lt.Governor on her own administered the oath to three BJP activists in the nominated members issue and violated the guidelines, he said, adding that now she is leveling baseless allegations.
