Jammu, Sep 4 : Amid ceasefire violation alert troops of Border
Security Force today gunned down an intruder on international border in Arnia
sector of Jammu.
"The BSF troops at around 1550 hours today observed movement of a person after he crossed the fence and entered into our territory," official sources here said.
"On seeing him, the sentry challenged him and cocked his LMG," sources said adding, "after that the enemy posts across the border started indiscriminate firing on BSF posts."
"Exchange of firing from both sides continued for some time and the intruder was shot dead. The body is lying close to the fence," sources added.
"Intermittent firing is still on," they said.
Last week a BSF jawan also got injured in Arnia sector in sniper shot fired from across the border.UNI
