JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 18: Speaker
Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, today laid foundation stone for
construction of lanes and drains in Govind Pura at Block Satwari to be executed
by the Department of Rural Development with an estimated cost of Rs. 12 Lacs.
The Speaker also interacted with people of the area and took stock of
their grievances especially related to water and power supply.
Kavinder Gupta assured the people that the government would leave no
stone unturned in extending enhanced basic services to every part of the state
with focus on unattended areas. He appealed the people to ensure their
participation in the development works being executed in their areas for
optimum outcome.Speaker also exhorted upon people to keep their
surroundings clean and help realize the dream of Swatch Bharat
Speaker also directed the concerned officers to ensure time bound completion of
the works with proper quality monitoring.
The people of the area expressed gratitude to the Speaker for taking
keen interest in welfare and development of their areas. Officers from
concerned departments were present on the occasion.
