POONCH, SEPTEMBER 25: Deputy Commissioner, Tariq Ahmad Zargar, today
visited Imam Bara Anjman-Jafria Poonch to take stock of arrangements being put
in place for Muharram.
DC was accompanied by a team of concerned district
officers.
During his visit, the DC met representatives of
Imam Baras, who apprised him of various issues specially the menace of rotten
smell spreading around the Imam Bara because of opened channels of drains
passing through the area. Besides, they asked for adequate security, uninterrupted
power and water supply during the Muharam days.
The DC instructed the EO Municipality to
immediately clean the drains in the area and ensure complete sanitation for
convenience of the people. He also directed PDD and PHE departments for
uninterrupted power and water supply during these festive days.
