KULGAM, SEPTEMBER 29: A mushaira was
held at Government Degree College Kulgam in collaboration with District
Information office Kulgam and Aharbal Adbi Aagur to pay tributes to the
martyrs of Karbala.
Principal GDC Kulgam, Prof Bashir Ahmad Rather, who was the chief
guest, said that we are duty bound to transmit the essence and the spirit of
the Karbala to the students so that they can inculcate the same values in their
personality and events such as these mushairas will serve as a vehicle for that
purpose.
Various poets presented their couplets eulogizing the sacrifices made by
Imam Hussain (R. A) and His Family for the preservation of Islam at
Karbala. Students of the College also participated in the mushaira.
