KATRA, SEPTEMBER 29: The nine
days Navratra Festival Prabhat Pheri in the holy town of Katra concluded here
today morning amidst chanting of bhajans and beating of drums.
SDM Katra, Neelam Khajuria was the chief guest on the occasion.
Assistant Director J&K Tourism Katra, Umesh Shan, Joint Secretary J&K
Sports Council, Shiv Kumar Sharma and other officials were present on the
occasion.
While speaking on the occasion, chief guest wished blessings of Maa
Vaishno Devi for all and complimented the Prabhat Pheri Committee’s efforts
in making this event colourful, successful and spiritual.
Attraction
of the Prabhat Pheri was singing of bhajans, playing of flutes and beating of
drums a grand way. The local ladies group led by Swati Sharma also performed
various Dogri bhajans during procession.
Speaking on the occasion Raj Kumar Padha thanked Information department
for daily coverage of the event and district administration, health department,
police department, CRPF, Municipal Committee, Katra for their active cooperation
and support during Prabhat Pheri processions.
