PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 20: District Development Commissioner Pulwama G.M Dar along with district officials today chaired a Awami Durbar at  Dugripora village of Tehsil Awantipora for redressal of various problems faced by the people. The Awami Durbar received an overwhelming response with over 500 representatives from Dugripora and adjacent villages.
          During the Durbar, various problems and demands were put forth before the DDC that include macadamization and repair of roads, electricity supply, drinking water supply, repair of irrigation channels and other basic facilities. They also demanded adequate staff in sub-centre and its upgradation into Primary Health Centre. Keeping in view the economic strength of the village people demanded opening up of a J&K Bank branch at Dugripora. It was given out that J&K Bank branch will be inaugurated by 15th of October 2017.
          They also sought the intervention of DDC Pulwama in the revision of land records as there has been no revision of records after the land settlement. People also put forward their long pressing demand of connecting their village to the railway station which was noted down and they were given assurance that a road will be constructed which will connect the village to the nearest railway station.
          The DDC gave patient hearing to their grievances raised by people and assured of their resolution at the earliest. He assured the people that all basic problems including drainage, construction of link roads and staff strengthening of sub centre in the village would be undertaken on priority. The district officers were given on spot directions to resolve their grievances within the stipulated time.
          Earlier DDC Pulwama G. M. Dar visited Government High School Dugripora and addressed the students and the staff. The students put forwarded their problems faced in the school. DDC announced an amount of Rs 10 lakh for the infrastructural Strengthening and other facilities   of the school

          The Durbar was attended by the ADC Awantipora, SE PDD, ACD Pulwama.
