PULWAMA, September 23: District Development Commissioner, Ghulam Mohammad Dar along with district officials today conducted an Awami Durbar at Bamnoo village to listen and speedily redress the public grievances of the people of the district.
The Durbar received an overwhelming response a large number of respectable citizens from many areas of the adjacent village coming forward with their grievances, demands and suggestions.
The main demands presented before the DDC included declaration of Bamnoo as a separate revenue village, supply of adequate water supply, up-gradation from Middle school to Higher secondary school, establishment of health dispensary, veterinary unit, separate horticulture and agricultural zone, setting up of ATM and a play ground in the village, issuance of BPL and labour cards to poor household’s and laborers respectively.
Responding to the demands of the people, the DDC assured the people that village Bamnoo will be declared a separate revenue village in the near future. The officers of the CAPD department were directed to include the poor households of the village in BPL category. Exn PHE was directed to provide a separate water connection for the village Bamnoo. He said that other demands will be sympathetically looked into also.

The durbar was attended by ADC Pulwama , CPO pulwama, ACD, ACR, CEO, CMO and other district officers.

          PULWAMA, SEPTEMBER 20: District Development Commissioner Pulwama G.M Dar along with district officials today chaired a Awami Durbar at  Dugripora village of Tehsil Awantipora for redressal of various problems faced by the people. The Awami Durbar received an overwhelming response with over 500 representatives from Dugripora and adjacent villages.
          During the Durbar, various problems and demands were put forth before the DDC that include macadamization and repair of roads, electricity supply, drinking water supply, repair of irrigation channels and other basic facilities. They also demanded adequate staff in sub-centre and its upgradation into Primary Health Centre. Keeping in view the economic strength of the village people demanded opening up of a J&K Bank branch at Dugripora. It was given out that J&K Bank branch will be inaugurated by 15th of October 2017.
          They also sought the intervention of DDC Pulwama in the revision of land records as there has been no revision of records after the land settlement. People also put forward their long pressing demand of connecting their village to the railway station which was noted down and they were given assurance that a road will be constructed which will connect the village to the nearest railway station.
          The DDC gave patient hearing to their grievances raised by people and assured of their resolution at the earliest. He assured the people that all basic problems including drainage, construction of link roads and staff strengthening of sub centre in the village would be undertaken on priority. The district officers were given on spot directions to resolve their grievances within the stipulated time.
          Earlier DDC Pulwama G. M. Dar visited Government High School Dugripora and addressed the students and the staff. The students put forwarded their problems faced in the school. DDC announced an amount of Rs 10 lakh for the infrastructural Strengthening and other facilities   of the school

          The Durbar was attended by the ADC Awantipora, SE PDD, ACD Pulwama.



             KULGAM, JULY 22: To reach out to the people of far-flung areas of district Kulgam, District Development Commissioner, today listened to the public grievances at a Public Durbar held at Waltengoo, Kund. 
The Durbar was attended by all the District officers of different departments. The main demands presented before the DDC were the inadequate water supply to Panghgam Nard, Kanchlo, Karloo and Razloo villages of Kund are. They also demanded establishment of Horticulture Zone and augmentation of existing receiving station by carving out a separate feeder so that power voltage and frequent power cuts would get minimized.
              Regarding health sector, the people demanded restarting of X-ray machine at PHC Razloo beside construction of compound wall of the said health institution. Under R&B sector, people demanded the upgradation of Nowbough Oriel, Negeen Pora, Guger Basti, Nagrus Kanchlo and Chitterhama Razloo roads to strengthen the connectivity. They also demanded early completion of much awaited Kanchlo - Oriel Bridge that will cater to a huge population.
                Responding to the demands of Kund Valley, DDC said that the remote and hilly terrain will be focused by the district administration in mitigating the grievances of the public. The officers of CAPD departments were enjoined upon to keep available the essential commodities including rice, sugar, and kerosene oil to the public.
          DDC assured that all the issues would be taken care of and immediate and pro-active steps shall be taken to address the issues. 

      Tehsildar Devsar, District officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep Husbandry, Education, Health, Irrigation and Flood Control, Rural Development, ICDS, Xens of PDD, R&B and other revenue officers were present on the occasion.




          PULWAMA, JUNE 10: District Development Commissioner Pulwama G.M Dar along with district officials today held an Awami Durbar with civil society members of Tehsil Tral for redressal of various problems faced by the people.
          During the Durbar, various problems and demands were put forth before the DDC that include Macadamization and repair of roads, electricity supply, drinking water supply, repair of irrigation channels and other basic facilities. The civil society demanded adequate staff in sub-district hospital Tral, Women’s College Tral and Polytechnic College.

                   The DDC gave patient hearing to their grievances raised by people and assured of their resolution at the earliest. The meeting was attended by the ADC Pulwama, ADC Awantipora, SDM Tral & other district officers.
