IUST organizes special lecture on “Technology and Entrepreneurship”

AWANTIPORA, SEPTEMBER 21: To highlight the importance of interconnectivity between technology, innovation, and entrepreneurship, Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST) organized a Special Lecture on “Technology and Entrepreneurship” today.

          The lecture was delivered by the Founder & CEO of BQE Software Incorporation, USA, Shafat Qazi.

In his lecture, Qazi gave detailed deliberations on the role of technology in entrepreneurship and innovations. He highlighted the difference between innovations and inventions. Entrepreneurship is the ability to execute the technology and opportunity which are its two portals and we should neither be discouraged in any circumstances nor give up our passion for entrepreneurship, he added.

He further advised the students to take inspiration from the leading entrepreneurs to give the boost to their morale in setting the entrepreneurial targets in their lives to achieve goals and objectives in your life.

The Special lecture was followed by an interactive question-answer session.

While addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Mushtaq Ahmad Siddiqui expressed his pleasure over the usefulness of this lecture and called it a good step ahead in creating an entrepreneurial and intellectual atmosphere amongst the student community.

He called upon the students to keep themselves abreast with the entrepreneurial opportunities around the world by using the modern internet technologies. We need to sit where our passion lies and we need to create a dignity of labour, he added.

The lecture concluded with a Vote of thanks proposed by the Head, Department of Economics.

The lecture was attended by Deans, HoDs, Principals, Officers and faculty members and the large chunk of students from various departments of the varsity followed by a comprehensive interactive session.
