SHOPIAN SEPTEMBER 16: - District
Development Commissioner, Shopian Mohammad Aijaz Asad, today chaired a meeting
to review the pace of developmental works and implementation of welfare schemes
in the district. Detailed discussion was held on the status of development
projects, their stage-wise progress, issues involved therein and system of
supervision and monitoring by the field officers.
The DDC directed the officers to accelerate developmental pace in the
district and ensure all targeted projects are completed within stipulated time.
He also directed officers to ensure field visit to check quality of work and
remove bottlenecks, if any. Earlier, DDC had sought feedback
from various departments regarding physical and financial status of
developmental works in the district. The DDC directed the concerned officers to
take effective steps to implement welfare programmes on a mission mode for
optimum results on ground. The DDC also asked the officers to submit physical
and financial progress of ongoing development works on monthly basis so that
any type of inordinate delay in the completion of the project do not occur.
The chair was informed that the approved outlay for the year 2017-18 is
Rs 8892.72 lacs and availability for the year 2017-18 is Rs: 2342.39 lacs out
of that 85% has been utilised so far.
Chief Planning Officer, Executive Engineer R&B, Chief Medical
Officer, Chief Education Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief
Horticulture Officer, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Project Officer ICDS,
District Social Welfare Officer, and other concerned officers and engineers
were present in the meeting.
